I think it’s very important to distrust how this “deal” will be implemented. There is no fucking way that Netanyahu would agree to this unless there was a belief that ultimately Israel will have defacto control of the Gaza Strip. As for Hamas, I imagine they are likely heading for a complete collapse and are using this as a chance to preserve some of their organization.

I don’t know what is next but this “peace” is likely temporary and I would expect there to be a large number of Israeli settlements in Gaza going up in the next couple years.

It’s important to remember that we have done this before. Let’s not forget, we started with advisors in Vietnam. We also took part in a multinational peacekeeping force guarding the Sinai.
